It’s Spirit Week at work, which means free food and silly contests.
Today was popcorn, so I went downstairs and ended up snagging myself a
bright orange bowl full of popcorn. This thing is almost painful to
look at it’s so vibrant.

With all the work I’ve done on my carputer over the years, it’s nice to see that some companies are going to start delivering the things I’m too lazy to implement myself. 
I’ve thought for a long time about integrating Google maps into my carputer, but without an internet connection (or a way to cache massive amounts of data), it’s virtually useless. A roll-your-own internet connection isn’t the cheapest solution for the occasionaly need for web access, but would be a nice perk. The only thing I don’t like about the screenshots is the bird’s eye view. I hate that view of flat maps. with the google buildings superimposed, it’s cooler, but not nearly as useful. I prefer a straight down view on my maps.

We were at the mall, on a saturday, where spots within a mile of the
mall were scarce and so we were circling looking for a spot. As we
turned down a lane, we were waved at by a guy walking to his car
indicating that he was pulling out and would give us his spot, eye
contact and pointing at our car and everything. The car in front of us
was already past this spot but rather than continuing down the lane,
looking for another opportunity, and give us the spot that we had been
“waved for,” they decided to just throw it in reverse, forcing us to
backup into the main road to avoid him hitting us. He then proceeded to
pull into our parking spot. A real shitty thing to do man. I hope your
Fish emblem in the sky smotes you.
We went down to Penny Road Pub last night to catch Donkey Punch play. I
missed having Trock behind the drums, but they played a good show. Got
some typically dark and blurry pictures of the band, and one of Britni
with her new haircut.
Some leftover pics from the dusting of snow we had a few days ago. Not
much longer and winter will be over!
First time at the Double Door, fourth time seeing TKK. One of their
better shows. They played a lot of their old stuff and a couple of new
ones. I was glad to hear some of my favorites: Ride the Mindway, Do You
Fear for Your Child, Hot Sexy Sucker, and one of the best TKK songs A
Daisy Chain 4 Satan. The Double Door was packed full and very crowded,
but worth the hassle to see Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy in Chicago.
After the show we headed over to a friends apartment and hung out until
5:30, and then a quick stop at the Hollywood Cafe for breakfast while we
watched the sunrise. All in all a good night!

I haven’t played with this WordPress theme builder much, but it looks like it has some promise for building quick and easy WordPress templates for further modification.
While everyone is out scraping together cash to drop on an XBox360, here I am buying a used Xbox. One of the guys at work had an old Xbox with a non-working CDROM drive, so I offered to take it off his hands. It’s been awhile since I modded my original Xbox so I’m having to pull up my old resourcese. I’m still not 100% sure what I’ll do with this one. Another XBMC with a wireless adaptor to put up in the bedroom? a linux server? Either way, here’s a good page on identifying which revision an xbox is: Identifying Your Xbox Revision
