I wish I was making my return to my blog posting with a nice long post about how much fun we had in Myrtle Beach and all the things we did on vacation, but that's been postponed for something else. Last night, somewhere between 10pm and 7am, some jackasses decided to break one of the windows on my car and stole my entire car computer system. Monitor, tower, foldable keyboard, mouse, brand new gps receiver, cables, power adaptors, everything except for two extension cables for the mouse and the sound. They tried to get my speaker box, but it was too heavy for their pansy ass to carry, and they had to ditch it about 35 ft away from the car. Luckily they were not smart enough to look for the amp that powered the speakers either. So I'm down one car computer, but still have the speaker box with 2 10" Rockford Fosgates, and the Sony Xplod Amp. Ironically the amp and speaker are probably worth more monetarily than the 400Mhz Intel Celeron eMachine, with a 10 year old monitor only capable of 640x480.
I of course called the police so I could file a report, called work to let them know I wouldn't be in, called my insurance to get that ball rolling, and then taped a garbage bag over the window in true ghetto style so the rain wouldn't get in. I'm taking it surprisingly well, after all it's just stuff, they didn't get anything in the apartment, and noone's hurt. The only thing that tweaks me is that it was something I put a great deal of time and effort into. And dammit, that monitor was so perfect for my car, and I'll never be able to find another one. Anyone have an old IBM PS1 monitor sitting around? So now it's time for me to get my windows tinted, get an alarm system, and put together a new and better car computer system. Oh, and move to a new apartment where the crime isn't so bad.
Anyways, I'm off to clean up the apartment because k0rd, phetus, and retart are coming up for the weekend. That should be fun. what am I saying "should", of course it's going to be fun! I'll have to sit down and chronicle our Myrtle Beach trip and all the cool people we met, and the fun things we did. In the meantime, go check out Rob and Rebecca's pit bulls. We met them in Myrtle. :)

I had my phone, cds, etc stolen...but damn. I hope insurance covers it. Remember, I thought that the computer you had in there was a p4 3.0ghz with a 22in LCD monitor, right?
;o)
Peace and butt grease.
