Meeting Britni

Wow, last time I updated was August?? Jeez.. Life moves way too fast. So much has gone on since August. School is school.. I'm taking Comp Sci, Philosophy of Arts, Neuroscience, an introductory course in Sociology/Anthropology, and we just finished up a Programming Problems mini-class. Neuroscience, which I thought would be great and interesting and all has turned into a demanding and difficult course. Both me and Jon are taking it, and neither of us is doing well, but we're both interested in the material, and the professors are great. The tests are just so damn hard. Other than that, I like my courses. I love Sociology/Anthropology. It's basically looking at the structure of culture and societies. Anyways, classes aren't all that important to life, although interesting and educational. What’s more importantly is that I'm in love. There's this cute girl that I meet about two months ago (Sept. 18th in fact) named Britni. The way we met was interesting, and rather foreshadowing of the future. I was in a friend's room (Matt), and we were getting ready to go to a rave in Cleveland (Soundstorm). Matt was the only person I could find that weekend to go on a rave road trip with me. Britni called their room for some reason or another, and Matt mentioned the rave to her. I told him to let me have the phone, not even knowing Britni. I said, "Hi Britni, this is Ed, you're going to Cleveland to go to a rave with us tonight." Her response was, "Ok, but do you have anything to wear, my pants are dirty?" I laughed, and she asked if I was the guy with the pink goatee (and I was cause we had tried to dye it purple and it didn't really work). She instantly struck me as a cool girl when she was so quick to go to Cleveland with us to go to a rave, and when I saw how cute she was, it only added to my impression. :) Anyways, we went to Soundstorm in Cleveland had a great time, talked the whole ride up there and the whole way back and got to know each other really well, and there was definitely some sort of connection made that night. Anyways, the morning when we got home, she gave me her number, and it was all over from there. So now she's here lying on my bed reading her book, and I sit here in front of the computer like the computer nerd I am. :) She's coming home with me to meet the fam and friends over Thanksgiving break, and we already bought plane tickets to go to London together over Spring Break. :) In other news, I bought turntables and a mixer towards the beginning of the year, putting m in debt to my dad to the tune of $1200. :P But it's worth it. They're a lot of fun, and we've (Devin and I) started a club here at school called E.M.P. (Electronic Music apPreciation). And we've already been approved, and threw our first party on Halloween weekend complete with me mixing for about 30-45 minutes (I'm not near good enough yet), several hours of mp3s, and even visuals from both of our computers. :) A lot of people had fun, and the turnout was even better than we thought. The president of the Freshmen class has already approached us about doing their dance next semester down in the Mitchell Athletic Center. Hehe, all this, and we only have three official members (Me and Devin - co presidents, and Matt - Secretary). As soon as we have our first meeting, our membership will grow though, as there are several people interested. Late and breaking news, I went and got my other nipple pierced yesterday while I waited on Heidi, Erin, and Nekke to get their tattoos done. I got it done with a vertical barbell this time instead of the normal horizontal ring, but I'll write that all up in a "Past Experience" sometime soon. Quick notes for the past few weeks/months: I also got my tongue done about three weeks ago.. :) I went to Boo 4 in NYC with Britni on October 10th, it was a hell of a drive, but a lot of fun and definitely a memorable experience. I also accidentally made the programming team for Denison and competed in Kentucky, and actually beat the other Denison Team, and placed 2nd in the local rankings. We went to a rave last night in Columbus (Exit the Millennium) that was pretty fun, even though I was dead tired when we finally got there at 3am, at least everyone had a good time, and that makes it worthwhile for me. And last but not least, I'm apprenticing Erin at our college radio station (WDUB) (which is #15 in the nation mind you. :) in order to become a full-fledged radio DJ next semester. Anyways, I think Britni and I are going to go watch a movie with Jon in a few here, so I gotta finish up some more webpage cleaning up. Until next time!
