Denison University

Well my mom, my sister, and my girlfriend, Ashley, just left Denison a little bit ago to drive the long 7 hours back to Winston-Salem, NC. They came up here to visit Denison for Parents' Weekend. It's been awhile since I did an update eh? Well I am now in college at Denison University (www.denison.edu) and I'm enjoying it so far. I've met some cool people here, and I love my Philosophy class. I also love my LAN connection to the internet. Nice and fast. Compare 2-3kiloBytesa second to 30-40kiloBytes a second. :) A lot faster. But I also got my CD-Recorder awhile back. I got a Yamaha CD-RW (CRW4260)that is working out pretty well. I just need more blank CDs. I've been filling up CDs with mp3s, and I even have a whole CD devoted to Pink Floyd with a second one almost ready to burn. :) Another cool music related thing I have going, is a radio station on the internet. It's called RelicRadio, and I'm sort of in charge now, as the guy who started it up has disappeared. We've got a few different people who have broadcast, and we are all pretty different in our approach, but it's lots of fun. I'm gonna throw up a link to the official page in the links section. Definitely check it out, and get Real Player so you can listen to it. It's completely free, and if you know how to use IRC, then get on irc.relic.net and join us in #radio. The radio is right off of my computer, so it's not up 24/7 but tune in and you'll probably hear someone on it. We're working on getting more organized right now. Oh, and one warning, remember that there is no FCC for this radio station, so anything goes, and we're not doing any censoring. But anyways, things are going great. My roommate here at Denison is pretty cool, other than he's extremely messy, but I can deal with that. Another cool thing that's going on is Rusted Root is coming to play on campus here this Friday. It's a students only show which kinda sucks, but it's still Rusted Root. :) Let's see, what else is going on? Not all that much. Oh, I got tickets to go see Phish in Cincinnati, which is going to be pretty cool. I've never really heard much from them, but I figure if all my friends think they're good enough to go see, I might as well check them out. Well, that's seems to be just about it for now. Check out the Radio page while you're here! Till next time...
