Well, I went to my first NHL hockey game tonight. :) The Hurricanes and the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing in the semi finals for the Stanley Cup. Jeanne Marie's sister is married to Jeff Daniels, so we got special "family" passes. :) Unfortunately the Hurricanes lost 1-0, but it was still a fun experience. I had to step in and stop a fight in the crowd, which was interesting. Two guys were coming up the stairs and for some reason got into it with two guys about my age in front of my dad and I. Things got heated with words and some pushing, and decided to step in between them with the hopes that a neutral party would end it before I had to see a fight in front of me. :P In short, it worked and after a few more words and a little bit of pushing by all, the two guys gave it up and continued up the stairs. It surprised me that I stepped in between these guys, without really thinking about it. Two larger, older guys, maybe late 30's, and then two guys my age, separated by 135 pounds of me. Anyways, pictures from the game and the crowd and all will come soon. :)
With luck, we've transferred over to a new news posting system called greymatter. So far so good. :)
