Dr Pepper Commercial

So Britni is sick of hearing me complain about this commercial, so I'm going to vent on the web here. Has anyone seen the Dr Pepper with Run DMC and LL Cool J? The one where they cut off the ending where they cut the Run DMC sample that normally says "Run DMC and Jam Master Jay" cutting it off right after the beginning of the word "Jam" and replacing it with Dr. Pepper. I just thought this was kind of disrespectful to Jam Master Jay. So recently after his death, suddenly Run DMC is back in the spotlight doing a commercial, and that commercial cuts his name out of probably one of Run DMC's most famous samples, and then rub it in by dedicating it in memory of Jam Master Jay. Who the hell dedicates a commercial to someone who's died? It tweaks me. Oh, and thank you Britni, I love you and I love the fact that you listen to me rant about this stuff. :)

It Shipped!!!

The SideKick is in transit. Maybe I'll get it before I go to Tennesee. It's in Texas right now. hehe Anyways, today was an interesting day. Woke up to tons of snow, I think we're up to like 14" in Columbus now. Work was delayed 2hrs, so I didn't end up there till10:30am after sleeping in some. :) Not many people showed up, there were only 6 people out of the 11 in the tech dept, and who knows how many people were missing in sales. The roads weren't as bad as I thought they would be, although there were still the idiots getting in wrecks. But the snow keeps coming down and covering Columbus. I'm taking some cool timelapse/webcam shots out my window, so ina few days I'll paste it all together and post it.

Navelsex.com

Ok, I want to just see where we can take navelsex.com. I'm paying $ every year to keep it registered and hosted, we might as well do something with it. So I'm up for submissions, and would love to see them flooding in. Send in your "navelsex" pictures. How you interpret the term "navel sex" is completly wide open. It could be just a picture of your belly button, it could be two belly buttons going at it, or who knows. So start submitting those pictures. Let's see who can be the most creative. Send them to me :)

The Sex Thermometer

Gary Coleman and Sean are meant for each other, or at least that's what they say.

Nintendo back in working condition

So everyone who was born in the late seventies/early eightes grew up with Nintendo, and the orginal NES system. Well I thought all my Nintendo stuff was long gone until a few years ago when my grandmother pulled out 4 nes systems, two zapper guns, 5 or 6 controllers, power adaptors, and rf switch things. So after playing with them and dealing with the ever dreaded blink-of-death, I finally just tossed them in the closet. But tonight, after reading up on a serious mod to get the NES fixed, I learned of an easy way to fix it. There's a connector that the game cartridge slides into with 72 pins to make the connection. After a lot of use those pins get smushed down and don't make a full connection, so I took the damn things apart, got a small small small screwdriver and carefully bent the pins back up to make nice solid connections with the game cartridges. A little too solid as it's hard to pull the games out, but oh well. Now they work the first or second time I put them in, very few blinking screens or garbled screens. So I busted out the Duck Hunt, shot up some ducks, and then pulled out the power pad which had been untested so far. Cleared off some floor space and got to "World Class Track Meet" I was able to do the 100 meter dash, the long jump and the 110 hurdles before I was completely out of breath. Whew.. but it still works as good as always. Britni just kicked my ass though.. :P I'll train and beat her someday soon! Now I just need to get me a power glove..

Adventures in Cleveland...

Oh, what a day.... 9:41am-jumped out of bed, took a shower and headed down to work to get a few hours of overtime in. Did some work, and then headed over to pickup the computer stff several of us at work ordered, including my brand new case. I'll have some pictures of my new case up soon. It's ridiculously cool.. :) All sorts lof lights and goodies. But anyways, got to work on transferring my old parts into this new case, and eventually looked at the clock and realized it was 3pm, and I needed to haul ass to go get my hair cut by Tony's wife, Roberta. I dropped what I was doing, leaving all the computer parts and screws and cases half-assembled and drove over to the school of Cosmo-something-or-other and got one of the best haircuts I've gotten in a loooong time. :) It's so much shorter. I'll have pics up here soon too. Then it was a rush back home to meet Fuzzy and Erin so we could head to Cleveland for a concert that included Codeseven, a band I used to go see at Pablo's down in Winston-Salem when I was in high school. 4:45pm We hopped in my car and headed out, stopping to get some cash, and then got off at the Polaris exit to try to get some food. That was a big mistake. We placed our unreasonably large taco bell order, asking for no meat on most of it since Fuzzy wants his poop to smell funny. I won't even try to explain the whole ordeal with trying to order "Dr. Pibb", but nonetheless we found it highly amusing. Then on our way out, we got stuck in all sorts of traffic. :P 6:45pm We finally got back on the highway, but then realized I still hadn't gotten gas. So a few exits later we pulled off for gas, only to find we couldn't get gas at the first gas station because the computers were down, then we went across the street to another gas station and got lost in semi truck land. Finally got some gas and jumped back on the highway, horribly behind schedule. 8:30pm We finally made it up to Cleveland, got a kickass parking spot and walked over to the Grog something-or-other only to find out that the show was sold-out as it started to snow/drizzle. We then were sure that the universe was telling us that we weren't supposed to go to this concert. The only question was "What _are_ we supposed to be doing tonight?" So we set out walking aimlessly down the street and found one of the world's coolest stores. I think it was called Big Fun. It was FILLED with toys from my generation's childhood (70s and 80s). All sorts of cool stuff like Transformers, GI Joe, MASK, old school metal lunchboxes, and more. Erin bought a little tiny cat pencil topper (and later named it Ladybug) and Fuzzy bought a Battlestar Galactica wallet. I couldn't find anything to buy, even though I had the feeling that I wanted to buy everything. I think it was the childhood memories begging to be recreated. After walking around and checking out a few more stores and finding everything closed or closing, we headed back to Columbus. On the way back we listened to one of my radio shows (the lesbian stripper one for those that used to tune in) and had quite a few laughs telling jokes as well. Why does a chicken coup only have three doors? Because if it had 4 it would be a chicken sedan! heheh Once we got back into town we met up with Sean, Lalo, and AShley (who we met for the first time tonight) at Waffle House. Two bacon egg and cheese sandwiches later It was time to head home. So here I sit, after a few episodes of Sliders and the very first Twilight Zone episode, typing on my little laptop while my poor main computer sits at work, disembowled and waiting for a new body. Should I come up with a new name for my main system now that it has a new body, even though everything internal is the same? The old name was Equus becase that's what it said on the case. Any suggestions for a new name? It will be joining Euclid, Omega, Scream, Coyote, CRVMP3, Herman, and several unnamed systems. Alright, off to bed for me. I need to get up and go out to work to finsih putting everything together and get some more work done before Monday. 3:57am Good Night.
