Last night Tony brought out his piercing gear (he used to pierce professionally for quite a while) to pierce Roberta's nose. We decided to turn the event into a piercing party. Roberta got her nose done and I got my ear dermal punched. I'll let Britni give her own account of her experience that night. I've had my left ear pierced for several years now. Originally it was done by a friend, Jamey Lowdermilk, with a pushpin and a piece of ice. It started tiny, and stretched just a bit over time with new jewelry to end up around a 12-14 gauge.
I've always like the plugs that I've seen, Tony's been itching to dermal punch something for awhile, so we did it. Of course being the geek that I am, we documented it. You can see pictures and video in the Photo Album.
Now I have a chunk of skin that used to be in my ear and I don't know what to do with it. I could just throw it out, but it's kind of weird to throw out a chunk of myself. A piece of my body that's supposed to be with me through life. I kept the only wisdom tooth that I've gotten pulled, and now I have an earring with a chunk of my ear.

Fuond this article about cows being contained by virtual fences. Using Wireless networking, GPS positioning, and individual collar, it lets cows run around in the fields and warns them when they're getting too close to the defined "fence." A real neat application of technology where it wouldn't be expected. Dad, think this would work on your dogs? :)
