Ok, so I've been slacking, and Britni is starting to catch up with me in number of posts (I still have her by a long shot if you count my mobile posts on skholla. This past week was the first week back after vacation in Myrtle Beach. Myrtle was fun, as always, and there are many stories this year to tell: the homicidal girls, the naked girl walking down the street, the "drummer for Smile Empty Soul", the friend who we found out is in the secret service, watching the sunrise on the beach, and many many more. Ask me about them in person, but for those that don't have that ability you can check out the photos at http://div.homeip.net/gallery. It's a slow ass server that I setup here at home for fun (and more space). Bear with it, it's a p166 with 40meg RAM on a 40k/s upstream. (yeah, ouch is the more appropriate description). Anyways, there's almost 500megs of pictures from Myrtle Beach, as well as some video (and yes, girls in bikinis, you perverts).
On another note, this weekend has been movie weekend...
- Starship Troopers 2: I fell asleep 20 minutes into the movie. Britni confirmed the suck-age though.
- Hellboy: lots of fun, not going to win any awards, but definitely one of the better comic book movies in my opinion. I've heard people complain about the lack of story and whatnot, but I thought it was just a fun movie and enjoyed watching it for what it was. I wouldn't mind taking in a sequel either.
- Secret Window: Hey Mr. King, could you write something new and exciting? The only saving grace of this movie was Johnny Depp's acting. He's just fun to watch. If you like Johnny Depp, a good waste of an hour or so, if you don't, don't bother.
- Shrek 2: Good for a kids movie, I'd say almost as good as the first one. Puss in Boots was the best part of it.
- Van Helsing: saw the last 20 minutes of it while waiting between movies. Saw enough to know it wasn't worth watching Wolverine for a whole 2 hours.
- The Day After Tomorrow: The first part of this movie was a lot of fun. Large scale destruction, good special effects, and worth seeing in the theater for the audio quality. But it did start to drag on towards the end. They should have spread out the exciting stuff more over the course of the movie instead of lumping it all in the first part. Be very prepared to suspend disbelief as well.
- Blood Gnome: got about 3 minutes before we turned that one off. It looked like some guy got together a bunch of friends and a camera and said "Let's make a movie!"
- Shark Hunter 2 & 3, and Blood Surf: sci-Fi channel was running a Memorial Weekend movie marathon and sunday was water creatures day. Good old B-Movies.. worth a good laugh at the acting and special effect.
Now we're back to TV, spending the evening catching up on our Bullshit!, Airline, and Simpsons episodes.

I work Satrudays, 7am-3pm, which is 30 minutes earlier than my normal shift. So Saturdays are always a little bit more difficult to wake up on time for. So yesterday I finally woke up around 6:45am. The drive to work is 10-15 minutes, so I was "late." I sprang out of bed, grabbed a pair of jeans, threw them on, ran and grabbed a shirt, brushed my teeth and ran around the apartment getting ready and picked Tony up 7 minutes later and was at work at 7:04am, 1 minute within the grace period. But then I really noticed how uncomfortable my jeans were. I looked closer at the jeans I had grabbed off the floor and realized they were not mine. I had on Britni's Gap jeans, complete with a nice boot flare and tiny pockets. That quickly explained why my crotch was so cramped, yet I had ample room for my butt. *sigh* Luckily I was able to wake Britni up by ssh-ing into my computer at home and turned the lights on and off until she woke up and was nice enough to bring my jeans to work for me. hehe In the future I'm going to double check what clothes I'm putting on in the morning. :P
