...but go vote for my webcam. Also, go vote here as well. And I just got bored and signed up for Camspot, so my pictures should be appearing on there soon. :) Anyways, I think I'm gonna upload a new campic and then get to bed.
Pimping down the information super-highway with two cams. :) That's right, hit the Live Cam link on the menu and tune into two webcams for your voyeuristic entertainment. Just a little update to let people know that. :) Also, Friday was pay day, and I got pizzaid! hehe I got my $50 bonus for winning Tech of the Week two weeks ago. :) Also we watched Lilo & Stitch last night. Although I hate most Disney movies, this one was really good. Lilo is cool. hehe Plue it was "Britni's People!"
Alright, xmas is over and done with. Whew, a quick trip home, a long delay at the airport. In short, got to NC at 3am, left at 6pm, got back into Columbus around midnight. All is well though. I guess I'm required to do the presents listing here. Microwave, toaster, blender, Back To The Future DVD box set, new glasses and wine glasses, subscription to playboy (thanks dad :), lots of nice shirts, some boxers, a sonicare toothbrush, some snacks, and some other stuff I'm sure I missed listing. But it was nice, got to see Mom, Dad, Lo, Poppy, Grandma, Taylor, JM, Dan, Snuggles, Big Worm (who put a nice puncture wound in my leg with his fat claw.), and Lily (Taylor's tiny dog). I wish I had been able to stay down there longer, but I had to get back up to work this morning. :P Work was slooooow. But good news, I found out they had announced the xmas bonus on Tuesday after I left. I won't say how much, but let's just say it's much much more than I ever dreamed of. So financially I'm sitting well. Mom also loaned me enough money to pay off my Discover bill so I could pay her back without dealing with all the interest Discover gets rich off of. Let's see, what else. I had to completely demolish and rebuild my network here in the apt. :P Err, let me back up. I've run out of harddrive space and blank cds, so me and Brit went to Best Buy to grab a hundred spindle and a new network card for her machine. Crowded as hell, but we got what we needed and then some, and headed home. I dropped the card in her machine, booted up XP, and tried to connect to the DHCP server, and boom! all of a sudden the whole network goes down and won't come back up. :( I rebooted the router and unplugged everything, moved the comptuers around, and then finally got everyone back up and running with nice little labels on the cat5 cables so I can keep track of which cable is which computer. :) Anyways, I'm off to do some mad burning to clear up harddrive space. Later..
Ok, while I generally tend to shy away from presents and whatnot, I figured I might as well make my wish list available. That way if you feel like you need to get my an xmas/bday present you can find out what I want/need. :) So here's my Amazon.com Wish List. Alright, with that said and done, I'm off to Waffle House with Sean.
That burning cigarette smells bad, if I get near it my clothes will smell bad, my apartment will smell bad, my breath will smell bad, and oh yeah that cancer thing. *Ed tries to resist the cigarette craving. I've made it 11 days without a single cigarette. It sucks cause I don't know whether I should go ahead and let myself have the occasional one a week or so, or if i should stay straight out cold turkey. :P
Some interesting articles I stumbled on. One for the AOLers and then one for the bloggers
Just got an email in my box from the EFF with this press release. Another point in the fight aganst the haunting DMCA!
Thats what this causes in me when I read it. How in the world can AOL patent instant messaging? I want to know how this patent got through. Granted I haven't read the actual filing, but based on the discussions I've read, I'm going to have to agree with everyone and put forth the arguments of unix, irc, and bbs's as examples of prior art. In my eyes, "instant messaging" has easily been around for a long time. My first encounter with it was on a bbs back in 1995. I'd log onto a bbs and join a chatroom where you could see who was on, talk with everyone, or talk to individual people. Then, as soon as I got on the internet, boom, there was irc. Patent bullshit like this is starting to really piss me off. I hate all this patenting of thoeries. Just think where we would be today if "an entity consisting of wheels with the purpose of transporting people or goods from one location to another" had been patented and enforced?!? Alright, enough ranting. Maybe that sick feeling is turning into hunger now.. time for dinner..
look out, Navelsex is spreading. Even phetus's mom knows about it now! Check out what I found. I also found this. Spread the word, send me pics to put on www.navelsex.com.
I finally broke down and called up RoadRunner. They're dropping off the cable modem on Saturday. hehe I got the install fee waived cause I'm doing it myself, got a deal of half price for the first three months, and then $45/mnth after that. yaaay! hehe On another note, the wedding weekend in Blowing Rock was fun. I had a great time with Dad, Jm, their friends and family. I tried to find Kent, who was in Boone last I knew, but he and Mollie have moved out of the place they were living in when I visited over the summer. :( So Kent is missing in action now. Hopefully he'll turn up somewhere soon. :) Christmas is coming, I'm hating it. :P Call me a Scrooge or whatever cliche you want to, but I'm becoming less and less a fan of Christmas every year. It's become just another day to me. At least it's a day of work and a chance to get together with family though. That's one of the few good things about xmas, time off to spend with the family. Now I just have to try and figure out how to get home to nc to see that family. hehe
alright, so Monday morning I woke up and realized my apartment smelled like ass thanks to smoking inside. So I made an executive decision to quit smoking. Period. I ahd one cig in my pack, and I bummed one off of brit Monday evening, but I haven't had one since. My main motivation is I don't want to smell like ass. I'm working on getting brit to stop smoking in my apt too, but so far I"ve only been successfull in getting her to move over to the window and have the fan going. Even then I can still smell it, and it's somehow been transformed in my head from a good smell that triggers the reminder of the pleasure of smoking to a nasty ass smell that I certainly don't want to smell like when I'm walking around. The worst is smelling the smoke when I'm taking a shower. Uggh... anyways, I hope this is my final attempt at quitting. So far so good. The hardest part is going to be Friday though, driving down to NC for dad's wedding. We'll see how it goes :)

So dad and jeanne marie are finally getting married this weekend. Yaay! I've been entrusted with the job of the ring holder, i.e. I get to hold onto the ring for dad until it's time to give it to her. It's going to be a really different sort of wedding, as is not unexpected from dad and jm. :) Britni unfortunately isn't going to make it due to, yes, more school work. *sigh* One of these days she'll be done with it all hopefully. Work is still going good, spent most of today on the phone, and set my personal record for phone tech support. 1.5 hours with one lady and we didn't even finish everything. She's calling back tomorrow to finish up. Uggh.. Anyways, just a little update. I'm off to eat my applesauce, drink my applejuice, and burn cds and delete stuff to make some space on my multiple systems. :P
Here you go Britni, order these through me so I can get a commission :)

Ok, so n0ia says I need to update my site. :) Sorry, I've been busy with work and all. Work is great, actually fun, and I look forward to going (other than the waking up in the morning) everyday. I'm now a member of the morning and 5:00 traffic. :P I started taking calls on my 3rd day, and now I'm comfortable taking calls by myself for most things, rather than having my "trainer" listen in and help out. Thanksgiving was alright, lots of driving, went up to Wadsworth to see Britni and have t-giving dinner with the Day's, then headed down to NC on Friday to see mom, dad, lo, and jeanne marie briefly. Also got to see the new animal addition to dad's household. She's a cute little lab? named pumpkin (she has a very "pumpkin" color to her). Also got to hang out with Gabby, who apparently has stopped showing up around the house much unless I'm home. Let's see, what else... Oh, something I forgot to write on here awhile ago. Maybe a week or so ago Britni was making noises while she was sleeping, and like normally when I'm awake I tried talking to her. Here's a quick sumamry of the conversation:
Britni: mmmm
*Britni twitches
Ed: Brit?
*twitch twitch "mmmmm"
Ed: are you alright hun?
Brit: mmmm
Ed: what's wrong?
Britni: mumble mumble a shark..
*twitch
Britni: he's going to get me
Ed: Don't worry, he's a friendly shark...
...pause....
*BIG TWITCH
Britni: Nooo!!
hehe at which point I woke her up laughing, and her having no clue what I was laughing about. Anyways, phetus is a pimp in his UPS uniform. See, there you go n0ia, I posted. :)
